We start of 2006 with a shot of "the little girl with the big voice" being a little girl. Here, she rides one of the Downtown Houston Aquarium attractions just a week ago (yes, that is Mom beside her)!

We end the year with where it began! Mariah makes her stage debut at the age of 7 in the "Little Miss Buna" beauty pageant. When asked about her hobby of singing, Mariah grabbed the mic and sang "Amazing Grace."

Then they do! This photo shows Mariah and brother, Joseph, at about ages 3 and 4, respectively. Where has the time gone?

Mariah was full of bull, mechanical bull that is, at the 2003 South Texas State Fair. After performing a full set for fair-goers, Mariah went for a ride!

Mariah visited the Palace of Wax in Arlington, Texas in 2003 and saw some interesting exhibits, including this lifesize replica of the world's tallest man. This picture shows the long and short of the visit.

Before beginning her efforts to hit the big time Mariah showed a natural ability and eye for another kind of hitting. Here, in April 2001, Mariah cranked one of many base hits for her softball team.

Life as a singer sometimes is not all fun and game as one might imagine. Here, Mariah caught some much needed zzzzzz's during her flight home from a long, hard trip to Chicago for a performance in 2003.

Mariah clowned around for Halloween 2001 at age 9.

Ahoy, matey! In this picture from Summer 2002 (at the tender age of 10), Mariah takes her turn at the wheel of the family boat at Lake Sam Rayburn. As always, Mariah is in proper attire with her captain's hat.
